Behind-the-Wheel Training at Driving Academy of NWA

Adult 1 Driving Lesson (1.5 hours)  »  $140

For students 19-years and older:  During each of the 1.5-hour lessons, one of our state-certified driving instructors will lead the student to learn and master the skills according to our systematic skills sheet. These prices include use of our vehicle, gasoline, insurance, and professional instruction.

Factors that determine the number of instructional hours needed to become a proficient driver for all the various types of roads and traffic include age, amount of driving experience, teach-ability, length of time in the U.S., spacing between lessons, English-proficiency, and amount of correct practice between lessons.

The student must have in his/her possession an Arkansas Driving permit or a U.S. state driver license.

4 Driving Lessons (6 hours)  »  $420

This 6-hour package is for 19- or 20-yr-olds who could benefit from professional behind the wheel lessons. For a limited time, we are allowing 16- to 18-yr-old teens, who cannot also attend the recommended 30 hours of classroom instruction, to take behind-the-wheel only, BUT they MUST complete all lessons within three months of the date of registration, with NO option for contract extensions.

Six hours of instruction is NOT enough for a beginning driver to learn and master all of the important skills and rules needed to become a safe driver, but these lessons can be beneficial when supplemented by practice with a calm, licensed driver who has good skills.

All driving lessons must be completed within three months of the first day of instruction, to avoid a contract-extension fee.

This is only one of the four requirements for students desiring to earn a Certificate of Achievement for our Comprehensive Driver Education program.

While many factors naturally effect the number of instructional hours needed to become a safe driver on the various types of roads and traffic, we have found that if new students will follow our advice to take 1 or 2 lessons per week, without gaps, and complete the training within 4 to 8 weeks, they should be ready to pass the road test and drive safely and intelligently on their own.

Student must have in their possession an Arkansas Driving permit or a U.S. state driver license.  All driving lessons must be completed within three months of the first day of instruction, to avoid a contract-extension fee.
